The top two from each group will progress to the knock out stage. Group winners will play the runners up from a different group so there is a real incentive to be top of the tree at the group stage.

Its the perfect 5-a-side tournament, a marathon AND a sprint!

I'm happy to organise a Charity Shield style match between the Rovers and Ninja's to kick off the day. Nothing really to play for (other than pride), but at least there will be the chance for silverware for someone other than the might buy.at team.

I am of course at peak fitness but I'm not totally sure about adding a game on at the start of the day

I'm in overall bad fitness, so def not up for a game before, even if I am mainly the manager.

Lets prove out worth in the game first - if we don't meet each other in the final/late stages then we should sort something out

    Hiya guys

euroffice wants to get in on the action.... unfortunately I havent played football (or as we call it, soccer) since I was about 12, and as it has also been pointed out, I might struggle with everyone else being about a foot taller than me. But our new guy Jon is a footballer and wants to hop along, so we need a team for him! Apparently he's quite good - all I know of his athletic skills is that he played tennis against the other marketing boys (who play multiple times a week) and kicked their butts, after not playing in years. I think that means he'll be alright?

I'll be there cheerleading... (unfortunately not in costume though)

email me if you have a team with a spot on it! (sam@euroffice.co.uk)

Is everyone sticking around for drinks after btw?
If so, where? I know some of the Rovers are staying at the hotel down the road, but is there a decent bar somewhere nearby that we can all pile into?

(please read above as: Rovers, where are we going to celebrate?)

A few of us will be stopping for some beers after and it would be good to have a chat in a less competitive environment!

Haven't decided whether to get a hotel yet or not. The last train back to Northampton is about 12am so may get on that.

    Have buy.at got anything planned?

I was hoping we would be having a few celebration drinks either in the hotel bar ( http://www.hotel55-london.com/ ) or somewhere near!

    Hi,

We are putting on some drinks and a buffet after the games, in the Wembley Goals Centre Bar, it is likely that all of you will have worked up a good appetite by then! Plenty of opportunity for the winners to gloat!

All are welcome and the bar is open until 10.45pm

    Cheers

    Laura

I imagine the Blue Barracuda contingent will hang around to enjoy our champagne, and we'll get a beer for buy.at to cry into.

Im sure whatever the Barracuda massive will be around to have a few after as it will be the weekend!

The buy.at team may let others look (with their eyes not their hands) at the trophy, i know some of the squad have been in strict training sessions (stretching the drinkus armus muscle) over the bank holiday weekend.

You forget that the Affiliate Rovers manager is a scouser Not only will I get my hands on it, but it will be on EBay before the buy.at team scores their first goal....

So that gives me all night to create the EBay listing... no rush there!

Obviously people haven't seen my famous video on BBC of me beating Shearer in a shoot out otherwise they would be changing their tune, particularly Frostie, I will probably score straight form Kick off in our first game

Seriously though it is going to take a good team to beat us, I have selected the squad with buy.ateers with good footballing brains (not all have the physique) with a mix of big strong defensive units, creative flair players, pacey tricky players and a keeper that has often been referred to as a cat or something that rhymes with cat
