It gives me great pleasure to announce the first UK Affiliate Marketing Weekend Conference.

A few of you know that behind the scenes I and a couple of others have been drumming up support for this event, and I am pleased to say that we now have most of the UK affiliate networks supporting and participating in the event, including Online Media Group, Commission Junction, Affiliate Window, DGM, Buy.at, Tradedoubler and affili.net. They are joined by leading affiliate agency R.O.EYE.

The Affiliate Boot Camp is being held at the luxurious Ettington Chase Conference Centre, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire from Friday July 13th until Sunday July 15th 2007.

Conference registration fees include all educational seminars, accommodation, all meals and evening entertainment.

Delegates will also have full access to the leisure facilities at Ettington Chase, which include a spa, jacuzzi, steam room, gym, tennis courts, golf facilities, archery and clay pigeon shooting.

The packed seminar programme includes sessions on the following topics (and there are still a couple of additional sessions to be finalised):

Understanding Affiliates and the Affiliate Marketing Space
Managing Affiliates and Pay Per Click
Optimising Affiliate Commissions and Incentivising Your Affiliates
    The Agency Perspective
    New Technologies
Top 10 Do's and Don'ts of Managing an Affiliate Programme
    Working with Incentive Sites

There will also be case studies from established merchants in the retail, travel and finance sectors.

There will be an opportunity to 'Ask the Experts' with a panel that reads like a who's who of UK Affiliate Marketing, featuring well known affiliate marketing personalities including Keith Budden, Nicky Iapino, Matt Reid, Matt Bailey, Kevin Edwards, Zak Edwards, Pete Norwood and Richard Yendall.

The conference is also about fun - there will be a gala dinner on the Saturday evening with a guest speaker famous for his appearances in the hit BBC TV series 'Allo Allo'.

After dinner on the Saturday there will be a table football competition, a snooker competition and a giant Jenga competition, with prizes for the champions so start forming your teams now!!

Booking is open now and there is an early bird discount of £70 per person until 31st May 2007.

Full details can be found at http://www.affiliatemarketingseminars.co.uk

For those of you with affiliate marketing related sites/blogs, look out for a competition soon - place one of the conference banners (to be launched with the competition announcement) on your site or write about the conference in your blog, email the url to info@affiliatemarketingseminars.co.uk and you will go into a draw to win a free pass to the full weekend conference (including all meals and accommodation).
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.

    Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to announce that dgmAffiliates are 100% behind this event. We feel that it is something that has never been attempted before and is a great opportunity to increase knowledge in the affiliate industry from a client perspective.

The exposure that you will receive to different networks and agencies is second to none so we would implore any merchants that are contemplating launching in the affiliate channel or who wish to maximise their current campaign to book themselves up immediately.

Also dgmAffiliates have been installed as the early favourites in the Giant Jenga competition.

    Thanks,

    Matt

I shall be attending this event and can't wait. As I have just entered the world of affiliate marketing it sounds perfect for me.

BTW, dgmAffiliates you will have stiff competition in the Giant Jenga competition!

That sounds like a challenge to me Jon. However having seen your performance at the buy.at footy tournament last week, we're hardly shaking in our boots here at DGM Towers!!!

Excellent news, looking forward to it! It sounds like it will be an invaluable weekend for me. What will be the dress code for the weekend? Formal for the conferences and casual for the rest?
