Excellent idea
I'm up for round at noob level on either Friday 10th or Friday 17th.
Hi all,
I discussed it with a few affiliates in Barbados and it seemed some of us might be up for an affiliate golf day at some point in August.
I'm currently tinkering with the dates of one of the following:
- Thursday 9th August
- Friday 10th August
- Thursday 16th August
- Friday 17th August
- Thursday 23rd August
- Friday 24th August
Would anyone be interested in this? I'm currently thinking that there would be three groups of us going round - Advanced, Intermediate and my personal favorite (and the group I would be in), only ever played pitch and put!
Currently looking at the course in Wandsworth which has a par of about 62 & would look to get some money behind the bar for a few drinks afterwards.
Cost would be pretty low and may be covered fully by sponsorship.
I need to work out how many people might be interested so if you up for it please reply (ideally with a choice of date) so I can gauge numbers and start to get it booked!
Cheers
James

Sign me up!
I've played before and I've given the odd "crash course" so perhaps you should put me in the "only ever played pitch and put" category.
Friday 10th August and Friday 17th August are my preferences isn't 24th August the one before August Bank Holiday?
Do you have products for review on my chocolate reviews or Easter eggs blog?s PM me.
I should be going away in August, but if I'm not I'd defo be up for a game. My ability ranges from awful to not too shabby, so you could put me in either of the bottom two groups!

Either friday would be good. I managed to hack my way round in about 110 last time I played, so whatever group that puts me in.
Could be up for this - last tme I played went round in 99 was so pleased to break the 100
What category does that put me in
Stuart
Count me in too .... (most dates look OK for me apart from the 10th as I'm already playing golf that day).
Handicap of 26 for me please!
Good to meet you today James ...

Yeah. I spoke an affiliate network as they have been planning to do a golf day themselves in September and can offer free placements/bar. It seemed to be a better idea to help them out rather than having two golf days in two months and it looks like it will be organised for September.
The idea is to have the forms for registration up by the end of the week.
Looking forward to it - I'm making sure that the course will allow for begginers as I know i'm not the only one who may have problems with the time it takes to get around the course!

Excellent thought I'd have to miss this as I'm in the States most of August, but if it isn't till September I should be in. Might get some dry weather by then too?![]()

Hi All,
As James has said, A Golf day is a great idea and the last time we held an event like this it was a very enjoyable and successful day out! So, Webgains will sponsor the whole event on Friday 14th September due to the fact that we've got a few keen golfers in the company, a few great merchants in the sector and some affiliates that would like to attend. Everyone is welcome to attend but there are only 30 places so be quick to register! Webgains will provide your pre-game breakfast/coffee, 18-holes, lunch & beverages so it's all free! There is a £10 deposit to ensure your place which is refundable when your turn up. We are in the process of gathering prizes from our merchants and will be advertising them all here and on the website shortly. More details on the event and registration here: http://www.webgains.com/events/
If your not a golfer, it doesn't matter, the Sunbury Golf club has clubs to hire and they would love to introduce newbies to the game.
We hope this will be another great day out for all involved!
