    Hi,

I just wanted to know whether there are any events held in the Midlands or is this part of the UK considered a 'no go' zone? I've expereinced many sterotypes being a Brummie! accent, etc, etc...

Also, I know a couple of affiliates from this region but wondered whether many affiliates live and work the Midlands?

I think an event held in the Midlands would suit many people as it is central and has good transport links, etc...The bars are quite good in Birmingham too...

Me too, I hated my Brummie accent for the first part of my life, until I came to realise that it is in fact a HUGE advantage in that people (in general) tend to immediately feel superior at meetings etc and I invariably manage to nail them in those first few secs

There are Many of us John, as for myself I am only about 5 miles (west heath) from your location. In fact when I saw the name anderson for the first time in your posts you had me scrambling for reference to the family tree

Excellent! Perhaps Essential Marketer will arrange one in the very near future and we can all meet up? I definitely think Birmingham is a great location for a get together. It'd be nice to get to know other Midlands based affiliates so if you are from this neck of the woods, please feel free to contact me

Anderson is a strong name don't you agree I take it it's your surname too?

I know West Heath very well, in fact I used to live just down the road in Northfield, by Kalamazoo...

Great, I'd love to meet up with the locals and yes John, I'm Mark Anderson but I've got a brother 3 uncles and 6 cousins who are John so you can get an idea of the reasoning behind my family tree comment in my last post.

Kalamazoo? I am directly down the road (W/Heath) I love it here, if you're passing call in for a cuppa. I'm the top floor, just buzz Star-Buy on the pad and I'll buzz you up.

If not we can press on with a midland based get2gether between us...

    Best to you!!

I would be interested in this.

I dont live that close to Birmingham, but its certainly a lot closer than other events which occur round the country.

Well I know Birmingham isn't the most popular destination, I'm reminded almost daily by my business partner (who's from 'up north') just how poor it is in comparison to Manchester, but it is a nice place and makes sense for a central location...

I guess, with like everything else, there needs to be a demand for it so time will tell if people jump on board with the idea

    I hope so...

    Hi Chris,

Consider yourself counted in (if & when it goes ahead). I think a bbq in the sun would be a good idea...anyone else have any thoughts on what type of event we should have and where?

By the way Chris, did you get my email after we spoke the other day?

Alliance & Leicester are based in Narborough, just outside of Leicester and I live in Leamington Spa. Agree a Midlands night would be cool.... I frequent the bars and clubs in Birmingham on a regular basis so can vouch for the good nights to be had there!

Paintballing is an excellent idea. There are a few places dotted about in the West Midlands, a few of us went to Bassets Pole a couple of years ago, was great fun. :tup
