Wordpress and Masking Links

Hi All,

I'm having some problems masking links with wodpress, I installed a couple of different plugins WP No External Links and WP Affiliate Pro, the first seems to work ok but isn't as easy to use as WP Affiliate Pro which I can't get to work.

Does anyone else use this and knows if it's still supported? I emailed their support but no one got back to me.

Is there a different plugin that's recommended?

Have you tried WP-Marketer? Just found it and the feature list is rather impressive... Download | WPMarketer

Try this if you are just looking for cloaking links. Works for me!

Spoke too soon - doesn't actually work when you click on it, which is the same as what happened with the WP Affiliate Pro so it must be something I'm missing, just can't work out what.

What version of wordpress are you using?

And i take it your using the plugin feature via the wp-admin control panel that installs it automatically? If thats the case its probably because the plugin hasn't been updated to work with the current version :/

I have it working on my mothers day site and I am using 2.7.1

It looks like its working to me - what are you expecting to see?

If you hover over it all looks as it should, but if you click on it it just opens up a page cannot be found

So essentially I guess it's cloaking but not redirecting, I wonder if it's got something to do with my hosting not supporting the redirect.

Could be somethign to do with your .htaccess file if the plugin uses re-write rules.

Try going into Tools : Permalinks & clicking 'Save Changes'.

Then go & try one of your cloaked links again.
