Personally I don't, mainly because I never click on them when I am searching for something and I don't think they add much value, also you will make much more per click from your affiliate links.

I wouldnt, I imagine it would take some clicks away from your affilaite links.

I wouldnt, it would detract from your products and could also make people view your site as "spam"

I dont really understand why people do, I have tried it and I made about £6 a day, not really worth it when its driving traffic AWAY from your site/affiliate links, you can earn £6 on one affiliate click. A lot of sites do it, although many sites also use other ads rather that Google, for example eBay! I know ebay isnt an affiliate site but im sure many ebayers are hacked off that ebay is charging more than ever yet driving customers AWAY from auctions!?

Other sites do it too, including the big affiliate players. Personally I dont think its really worth it, unless you are making pittance from your affiliate links, in which case you should concentrate on improving your CTR's to earn more from affiliate links.

By the way, your siggy looks very spammy

In the rare cases that I use google adsense, i usually put them right at the bottom of the page... the logic, is that if the visitor has managed to find the bottom of the page, then possibly they havent found what theyve been looking for. And if theyve got that far, then I might as well offer them some alternate sites, and pick up some £$£$

This is probably the best strategy and one that amazon employ, to an extent.
Another good use of adsense is where you have a product specific site which isn't so hot anymore. Most visitors are people looking for support and not to buy, so having some adsense on the site is a good way of monetising this traffic.

One other thing to bare in mind if you have an ever increasing number of affiliate sites is if you add the same AdSense account to them, you're giving Google a big look at your network. I don't use GWT for the same reason (and I've seen sites get de-index shortly after adding a few of them to GWT.)

Interesting. So if I have ten sites on the same server (so same IP address), you think it's best not to use Adsense nor register them with GWT?

Even if each is different in theme and contains gradually increasing amounts of unique content?

It depends how much you are linking them. If you are trying to manipulate search results by cross linking them all then it's not a good idea to tell google they all belong to you?

If you aren't doing that then you have nothing to worry about

My thoughts exactly. Works very well in my opinion.
