Gadget - this is a great idea. What a pity that there are not a few more people with niche sites like this who are looking for content.

My only reservation about this is that if you are asking newbies for content then it may not be of the same quality (from a search engine point of view) as the content which has given you the ranking. For this reason, I suggest that you give yourself some 'editorial rights' that would help with improving any articles to make them more attractive to search engines and the visitors to your site.

For the newbies, this is almost reason enough to sign up everywhere as a gadget affiliate to give your overall portfolio a boost.

For the link critics - if the newbie does not give a link to the article on Gadget's site he is not helping the ranking of that article which could bring in quite a few visitors to his own site, if well written. The giving of links is just good sense to boost the ranking of the link giving site - it's not rocket science.

This all makes me wish that I was a gadget affiliate.
