Can anyone recommend a good Affiliate Marketing resource for a beginner

Hey guys

I am a relative novice at the affiliate marketing game. I have a couple of websites that have ads on from Tradedoubler, Commision Junction and others. I am making some money but not a lot really. I am looking for some literature which will give me a better understanding of affiliate marketing and techniques I should be following. Can anyone suggest one? This forum is great. However it is very widespread and does not lend itself to someone who does not have a base grounding. I want to build up a base understanding of the fundamentals so that I can then search these forums and add to it. Sorry I'm your typical IT person I need a bit of structure to start anything! :-(

I am new here barely a week old but i am not new to internet marketing & neither am i new to Affiliate marketing as i run a couple myself.

I am a bit concerned to all the newbies flocking to this site with hope that their questions would be answered but not. I have seen the types of responses in relation to affiliate marketing that newbies receive in return to their questions and It worries me that these folks would get more confused as to the responses because i am not convinced that members answering these questions have a grasp of what they newbies hoped for .

I am new here and i am yet to fully understand how this forum functions. I saw this because i do not want people to feel that i am taking advantage even though i sincerely want to help. This is what i will do now, I will open up a thread with this subject: 'To All Newbies & Existing Affiliate marketers, What is your #1 Internet/affiliate marketing Problem you have today!'

I will appreciate if you join in this discussion, if you the comments posted here already answered your affiliate marketing resources question, ask me another question affecting your business from making money

Is there a comprehensive easy to understand book on affiliate marketing? (sometimes it is easier and more comfortable to read a book than pile through online pages full of adverts and biased viewpoints etc)

The 2009 version of what you are asking for has just been released but students will have to access it through a dedicated online page and to the best of my knowledge no ads like you hinted above. which ever you like, that is the only resource available to newbies and advanced marketers for the past 13 years.

If you need the 2009 updated online version PM pm and i will look for the company's telephone number or the link, which ever i can find.
