clicks from adwords when campaign is paused

has anyone ever had this happen to them?

my whole adwords campaign is paused and yet yesterday I got a click from one of the keywords. it even led to a product sale.

the referer is empty so I cant tell where the click came from, but I know its from adwords as it has ?gclid=loadsofrandomchars on the end of the query string. however no clicks or impressions show in my adwords account.

all I can think of is that either someone added my site to their campaign by accident, there is a bug with adwords, or maybe its some crazy bot someone has coded - but then how could it buy something?

I will be interested to see if the sale gets verified.

Maybe they bookmarked your page, gclid an' all, when they clicked your google ad when it was active?
