Easy Content Units New Feature: Random Units

We have launched a brand new feature to Easy Content Units to make it even simpler for you to create a merchant based content unit. The Random Product Units are essentially product units for a particular merchant which shows a selection of products on offer from their inventory.

Simply choose which merchant, how many products you want to see, enter a keyword if you want. Then it's onto the styling page to customise the unit - job's done. Put the code on your page and you're off.

We'll try and clear up the layout of the admin area in a few days, it's starting to get a little cluttered.

Oh and for those of you who missed the Twitter/Blog you can now duplicate your units from within your account. Tick the box on the 'My Units' page and hit the button at the bottom 'Duplicate Content Unit' and you'll have a new 'Copy' of the unit. Click on edit to change name/other factors and save.

Hi,

I have been using ECU for about a month now.
I have seen 2 sales so far, however this has been from quite a few hundred clicks on the units.
How many sales exactly does ECU take for themselves?

Hi Marc

Easy Content Units does not 'take' sales.

Basically it works that on every fifth impression (not click) we will show our affiliate links in place of yours.

All sales are tracked by the networks, and if you use a 'clickref id' then within the network reports you can see how many clicks/sales you have made for each unit.

Although we are looking to add new functionality to our reporting, on the 'My Units' page in ECU you can see the number of Impressions each of your unit has generated and the number of clicks. If you divide the number of impressions by 5, you will know how many times our affiliate link has been shown.
