I asked the same question a while ago:
Whats the best way to rotate affiliate banners?
I went with mtuffins method which works excellently!

Thanks for the reply's guys but tbh I could really do with something a little more all encompassing - i.e. as well as rotation something with tracking, reporting, functions. I guess the answer is to write something![]()

You could integrate with Google Analytics.
If your looking for an all singing all dancing product (for free) try openX - formerly openads - formally phpadsnew
I use it to handle 3 million banner impressions a month.
Can be set up to allow agencys to manage, end users to manage, multiple websites and much more.
Can be a wee bit daunting at first, but it's be designed to do most of things you might need it to do

Or if you use google adsense, check out google admanager
Hi Stuart,
dgmPro will build a Rotating Banner (Toolkit > Rotating Banners), with reporting and weighting functionality and so on, but only for dgm clients I'm afraid.
Cheers
Ben
Thanks guys.
Paulzie - Openx sounds perfect for our requirements. My PHP skilss are non existent though but it seems as good a place to start as any. What level of skills are required would you say?
Thanks again
Stuart

I'd vote for OpenX as well, I've been using it for about 5 years in its various versions/names.
To install it you need to be able to create a database and copy some files and I think that's more or less it, everything else is configured via the admin interface.
cheers,
mav

Hi Guys - thanks for that. I've registered for the hosted version of Openx. First appearances look exactly like what we need. New member of staff staring soon with PHP skills so might have a look at the downloadable version in a month or so.
Off the top of your head do you remember how long it takes for approval please?

I'm so impressed with Openx.
We're on the hosted version now and tbh that'll probably do us.
Although I'm no expert without about a whole hour behind me I'd certainly recommend trying it to anybody who want's a comprehensive solution:tup
