Advice on how to publise affiliate program

I have recently launched new affiliate program and would like any advise and suggestions on how to maximum the exposure of this program to help with the recruiting of affiliates.

Are there specific website, forum, etc.. that shhould be defo's for me to list my program on?

Well this forum is a pretty good place to start

Why not post about your program in one of the sections on here so people can have a read? Remember to include a sign up link so it's nice and easy for any interested parties to join.

Also try building a dedicated affiliate information page on your site, as that can be a good method for letting any affiliates that come across you by chance or whatever, know that you run a program and sign up.

If you partner with a network, they can help recruit for you and promote new programs in their affiliate newsletters, or taking out a banner ad on this site to raise awareness.

You could also offer a 'refer an affiliate' bonus scheme, to help your affiliates spread the word for you.

Indeed... being a part of a network is an important factor. Our program is on the webgains network and has attracted lots of affiliates. We always try and look at it from the perspective of what we can do for the affiliates. If you offer all the right material, good conversion potential on your sales platform, generous commission and plenty of support then attracting the right affiliates shouldn't be a problem.

I would say if you are not part of a network then consider it, it will make a huge difference.

Firstly ensure your site is converting as well as it can/should be. Then the A4U forum is the perfect place - try and take part in discussions and build up some rapport. Use your signature to let people know what your site does, and maybe links to programme info. Network at every opportunity.
