Few Questions

Hi All

Just wanted to ask a few questions as its really bugging me !!

I recently added a blog of offers and discounts to my site its simply on the same domain just in a folder, i put Truffle Shuffle on my page and clicks went mad, its on the latest articles on the front page of the blog.

My questions because i recieved 1,300 odd clicks last night and 15 this morning it was oonly put up saturday, and not average number of clicks.

Would my wordpress blog as its new appear somewhere on wordpress as a recent/new blog?

I know googlebot and 1 other popped by yesterday, would that cause loads of clicks as it visited?

Or is it just because i picked a good merchant for my blog and homepage?

I really want to find out the cause,

Hi Phil,



According to the developer, here is his response



“ I would say it’s probably not a virus as it would be a really weird thing for a virus to do and I’d also say its most likely not a bot as they will only crawl on their own IPs, That being said, I’m not really sure what it is because the logs don’t have a great deal of info of where the clicks come from other than ips and referrers.”

Sorry to bother you agaain.

Could you do me a favour and find out something for me please.

I found out the ip addy which did most clicks was actually mine :-S

Could you find out from your tech people if possible if that is the way bots crawl through my ip or do i have a virus in my system.
