    Hi,

Im looking for recommendations for good link building/social bookmarking services.

I already do article & directory submissions but Im a bit lazy when it comes to other forms of SEO and getting good backlinks is one of my weak points.

Ideally Im looking for a service that would include social bookmarking, forum posting, blog commenting, etc.

I cant spend too much but could afford to spend a few hundred on the right service.

I have several sites in the Forex, dating, and pet niches that all need varying forms of work on.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

This looks a bit spammy i know but it actually works very well.

You submit articles and they post them to related blogs
Also a great way of getting free content as you can add your own blogs

I have been looking for the same thing actually. Had a few quotes from various companies, including some offshore ones, but was really hoping for a personal recommendation too. It's a tricky one. Clearly there are huge gains to be made by increased rankings, but it's all a gamble!

Please PM me also if you have any good recommendations for a link building and promotion service.

Always go for a personal recommendation if possible. We have all seen the spam emails promising the earth.

Quality link building isn't cheap believe me! I will give you an example, one of my clients was spending £40K per month on PPC on a ratio of 75% PPC - 25% SEO.

17 months on we have completley reversed the figures, they now spend around £5K per month on SEO and about £8K on PPC. Increased traffic, better conversions, more profit and so much cheaper.

Many of the optimised keywords were not even in the top 100 SERP's on Google when we started, now page 1 listings with many top 3 positions; no funny tricks just good old fashioned SEO techniques which includes good quality link building.

I recommend you learn how to do the link building yourself. It is cheaper and more effective.

There are very, very, very few good link builders for hire. Think about it, if you are good a link building why would you work for someone else and earn a few hundred pounds here and there. When you could do the link building for you own site/s and earn a lot, lot more.

Couldn't agree more... I have also wondered this about SEO agencies in general. If you can get sites on the first page of google for key terms, why not make the websites yourselves and make a lot more money via AM? I fully expect a barrage from the SEO agencies now

I agree and disagree with you Top Banana.

I agree if you are a small business it maybe worth putting in the time to learn the link building but it takes time and can distract you from earning money.

A good link building company is just that, they act as a service, get the right one and they are doing a job for you getting you up on the SERP's allowing you to get on with what you do best and selling your products either yourself or selling on behalf of other companies.

It takes time to get to the point where your optimisation campaign is cooking and there are no short cuts if you do it white hat. In my experience spending money out on link building is cost effective as the revenue gained far out weighs the money spent in the long run saving big bucks on Adwords costs. Better CTR and conversions as well.

You have to be careful in what you do as you can actually damage your rankings by poor linking and get slapped by Google without really knowing what you have done wrong

Affiliate marketing isnt just about serps though, its about picking the right product, getting the design right and been able to sell online - i'm sure we all have failures in our portfolio. :cry

If you offer a service like linkbuilding at least you know how much your earning I guess which suits some people/companies more than others.

I wish I knew a good linkbuilder I could hire thats for sure!

Ha! I have more failures than good ones when it comes to picking the right product to promote. The trick is with the good ones is to increase your exposure and get more sales.

It is getting harder and harder to promote merchants through affiliate marketing, brand bidding has almost gone and program restrictions make it even more difficult. That is not to say it is all doom and gloom, hey it is a very big market place and we all have a choice on who and what we promote.

With the good products, ones that you earn good commission from you run with. Build micro sites and then bigger sites offering the customer choice. With these you then look at optimising i.e link building, great content etc etc.
To get to this stage you need to have a decent track record of sales done through Adwords and other PPC sources.

This is just my opinion and experience of course, many of you may have gone down a different route altogether?

Link building from a merchant point of view is slightly different from an affiliate's point of view. Firstly merchants often have more resources and can afford to outsource the work. Affiliates however may have limited funds and also time and then they need to 100% sure that it is worth spending the money out on link building services.

The advantage an affiliate has is that if something doesn't work they can choose to go down a different road and promote something else. The merchant however is committed to what they sell and have to stick with it. Often a drop from a top 3 position on Google sounds the alarm bells for them.

She also usually does some free link building before you have to hand over any £££

Thats why the good SEO firms charge £800-£1000 per day!
