Price Tapestry will probably be the best £200 you'll spend.

Out of the box it's a bit basic, but if you are prepared to read through the incredible support forum you can customize it and add some great mods. If you're nifty with CSS you can make it look very pretty (or failing that buy an off the shelf PT template).

If you are learning PHP and MySQL this is an awesome script to dissect and study how things all work, and the terms of use allows you to modify it to your heart's content.

I was dubious about spending so much money on a script, but the script has paid for itself. Also the support from David is far and away the best I've ever received from a software developer

I read all this post, but don't undestand one think...

When we create an Pricecomparison Web site is for won some mony with the ppc...

All this nice script fails or not in one simple think, so you guys can help me clarifing my doubts...

On pricetapestry you can know the clicks on any merchant feed, but would be nice if you can define different prices for each categoty, for example 0,02 Cents for Speakers catgory, 0,05 Cents for computers, .... and so on to all other categories...

No one of this scripts have any merchant pannel where the merchant can log in and have access to the click statistics...

How with pricetapestry or DataFeedStudio know how much your merchants need to pay for the clicks???

Some price comparison sites when you are a merchant you add 50,00 € of credit, and for example when the credit is bellow 15,00 € you the script gives a warning and you send a email message telling to the merchant is bellow 15,00 €....


Can we do something like this with pricetapestry, DataFeedStudio, shopwindow or affilistore????

The problem of some of the mentioned scripts is usualy need a registration on a third party affiliation service... It's possible do a stand allone web site with any of mentioned scripts????

Price tapestry can record the clicks, and you don't need a affiliate network. Just a csv or the xml of the data will do.

These would be very easy to do in pricetapestry with a bit of php/mysql knowledge.

And you know someone who can do that??? Do you know any good example or any mod already made for that???

The big concern for me is on admin pannel

I think pricetapestry os very good engine, but fails on clicks managment... At least on admin pannel you must have the capability do define the cost by click, to know 1200 clicks means 15,00 € for example...

Anothe good idea is the merchant pays 50,00 €, so you add 50,00 € of credit on merchant feed, when the value is below 20,00 € you send an email to merchant, if the merchant do no reply and don't add some more credit when the credit value reach 0,00 € must stop the comparison for that merchant feed...

You understand my idea???

Exist any mood like this????

With this script you need to have a third party service to manage the clicks... Dont exist anything but a stand alone script??? With merchant login area, to manage and view reports??? Like kaon or axisitp????

Price Tapestry works with datafeeds. They do not have to be provided by third party.

I am not sure I really understand your posts (I guess English is not your first language ) but it seems to me that you do not want it for affiliate merchants but pay per click. I am not sure if David can do that or not. It is best to ask on Price Tapestry's forum, then David can advise you correctly.

I's searching something similar to kelkoo.com, i think Kaonsoftwares or axisitp can fit my needs, but they have most part of the files coded by ionCube, and i'll never a script like that, i like to make my own changes to fit my needs and with encoded files you can´t do that... I'm searching for any script 100% stand alone where you have an merchant area and members area.... it's amazing but you can found clones or script of everithing but when you search for a price comparison script you don't found nothing...

Is something like this what i'm searching for, all of them have a member login and a merchant area... For me is not a problem to buy a script from kaon or axistitp, but the files are enconded with ionCube and in other side you are giving 500,00 or 600,00 $ for a script where you don't know if that is what you are expecting...

For example i already have a osCommerce store, the big advantage of osCommerce is they have a huge community who can help you on everithing... That is completly different even if you need to pay for the script (Is not the case, everithing is free)....
