Not earning revenue and do not know why

Ok here goes. I have a site Lifestyle Magazine the Best Online Lifestyle Magazine Latest Celebrity Interviews where we get heavy traffic and people do click our adverts. At the moment we mostly have buy at and for example today we have had over 40 clicks, it maybe more i have not checked, but we do not seem to earn any money. I think this month we have had around 400 clicks but not a penny in sales.

I would love to know what we are doing wrong and why we are not earning any money. If anyone can advise us on what is wrong and why no one is creating a sale then it would be a great help.

We are currently improving our site and making it better and we really would like to start earning some money

    many thanks

People are coming to your website for celeb news and entertainment, they aren't in "buying mode". In my view Cost Per Action ads aren't going to work well on this site, because people aren't there to buy, so I would test switching over all your ads to Cost Per Click and see what happens to your revenue. My guess is that it would rise significantly. Make sure your CPC ads are embedded right into the site and not at the periphery. See also:

    Conversion Rate Optimisation

If you want to get into CPA advertising, it is all about bringing a qualified visitor, in the mood to buy, to your site, and understanding the stages involved in internet search.

Thank you for this. Can you show me some sites that work well for people wanting to buy, We are a very popular site for people wanting to know about lifestyle news and entertainment and we need to start turning the traffic into revenue. Can you point us in the right direction for pay per click. We were with adsense but for some reason we were banned a year ago and they have still not said why.

All I know is, i was away for one week and when i got back we were banned and when i asked them why they just said that it was due to the clicks and we appealed but got no where, so know we need to look at other methods.

Do you know why we are getting so many clicks on the adverts, one of the popular ones is hmv and cosmetics and then no one buys. some days we could get over 70 clicks just for hmv but not one sale

Getting banned from AdSense really sucks. I'm sure other CPC networks are available for the UK, but I don't know any off hand. Best I can do is say have a look at the US CPC networks shown here, and maybe some of them have UK programmes:

    US Affiliate Marketing Networks

With the type of site you are running, people didn't get there intending to buy something, so if you were to continue with the CPA offers, you would have to make them "spur of the moment" things, e.g. a funny T-Shirts, prize draws.
