The best incentive ever pre- about an hour ago was probably the Barbados trip.
Now it'd just be allowed to have certain merchants on certain sites.
:cry
Hi All,
jus a quick question, whats the best ever affiliate incentive you either seen or won, ever, in all history?
I'm really interested to find out what the incentive was and why you (as an affiliate) found it particularly attractive.
thanks
ken
Slighty bias, but have to go with the Barbados incentive, especially as I've done it for four years now!

Barbados, one of the best prizes around and certainly one of the best weeks of my lifeamazing!
Barbados for me to... My Very Own Barbados Round Up | Hannah Louise Swift means a great deal to me!
Plus the affiliates are stuck on an island with you - NO ESCAPE - You will promote my merchants mwah ha ha!
I got a rolex sub limited edition, three years in a row. From a watch company. But i did get them 2000+ sales every eyar. they stopped it now
I sold two of them and bought myself a breitling... Chorno evo with bling :tup
Intresting that was my first and to date i am ever sold over a thousand mark for one product...
but that i think is pretty cool

I think the buyagift ones are pretty hard to top. I also recall one of the US CPA networks doing some kind of epic party at the playboy mansion which looked pretty good.
Not that I have ever been, but the barbados incentive looks great, ideas for other incentives I would like are expensive watches "as mentioned above", cars, holidays, activity days, latest gadgets. Things I enjoy but would not always buy, regardless of spare £
I do love my watch.. have a bit of a collection going anyway... here is a pic of this beauty thought i share...![]()
The best individual holiday would have been the IWOOT heli-boarding experience. but not many people could go, so I would say Barbados just because it was more accessible.
Fonetastic promised a car yonks ago, but I don't think anyone won one before they "reorgainsed" their business.

I got a weekend in Paris, staying at the George V courtesy of BT.
Reason that one stands out is I got to take my better half and she's never complained about me spending time on affiliate projects ever since :-)
Books Direct gave away £17,000 of cold hard cash between two affiliates last year, personally as great as all the other incentives are, that was pretty untoppable.

Having seen a fair few in my time I think the more democratic the incentive the better and there have been a number of compelling promotions with low barriers to entry.
Books Direct giving away a significant amount of cash (and to affiliates who aren't the usual suspects) was pretty special. Buyagift and I Want One of Those both gave away holidays dependent on a variety of activity and Red Letter Days' quarterly incentives are open to all with great ongoing prizes.
I'll also plug the Affiliate Window Christmas incentives over the past couple of years when we've given away hundreds of prizes thanks to the generosity of our merchants.

wow...barbados was always going to be a hard one to top, and the PB mansion party was a stroke of genius. Watches seem like a really good idea...
are there any others? or better yet, whats an Incentive that you wish you could get but no one's yet done?
A trip for two to Orlando care of Sunshine without a shadow of a doubt :tup
The reason being that the competition was fair, unbiased towards the larger affiliates and I was technically able to choose the location and date of the holiday. I've seen a few strict holidays where the merchant picks these dates for you to travel. I imagine these types aren't all that popular.
Other incentives I like are gift vouchers and goodies related to what I'm promoting. For example, if I'm promoting a travel co, travel related prizes make sense; electrical prizes make sense for electrical retailers; and so on.
As per this post, I'd love to see someone offering an hour here. Perfect for a travel site!
What sort of budget did you have in mind when you asked the question?
