Hey Cookie,
I just looked at your site and I liked the "clean" design, it made it easy to read. I have to disagree with Seamaster - I like being given the option to click-through to read more on blog sites.
It's a fine a balance in blogging - because most people scan through articles - and if they're too long, forget it! However, if you have interesting and relevant advice, your readers will be more likely to stick around. I think the option to click-through allows readers a summary of the topic (or a good intro) but keeps them on your site - if the article was taking up too much visual space they may not stick around to find out what else you might have written about.
Great start! I have it bookmarked to re-visit.
Cheers,

Hi Annabellea
Thanks for your comments - very kind
I must say I prefer the short 'read-more' layout when looking at blogs - just because it allows me to see more of the bloggers content, and I can then choose bits to read.
I suppose it is just a personal preference.
I'll leave it as it is for now anyway. (saves me a job too)
Thanks
Mike
On my own Affiliate Stores blog, I use the more tag selectively.
If the post is short and sharp, then I don't bother, but if it is on the longer side, then I do use the more tag, not just for visitor benefit, but to reduce duplicate content within the blog.
With home, post, archives, category and tag pages it can be easy to dilute the PR of the content by having it seen in a number of different ways.
I have been trialling a different theme for 2-3 months myself .. it is vivid, but I think clean and relatively uncluttered .. maybe another blog for others to bookmark? ... Affiliate Stores

Good, clean, crisp layout.
The little men certainly gives the blog a unique twist!
The 'read more' button is a good idea. From a usability perspective, possibly colouring the button the same as the title of the post, as clicking on either performs the same function.
When I viewed the site this morning, I noticed an interactive list of poster's, but it seems to have disappeared. This could give the blog more of a community feel if that's what you want. Poster's could log in and create a profile, etc.
For example, you could use Google Friend Connect to allow user's to engage, message each oither and write reviews.
Overall, good stuff - keep up the good work.
Talk about coincidence...
...just this morning I clicked through to your site from someone else's blogroll, so you must be doing something right!
