    Hi guys,

We've a problem with Google Analytics. We relaunched our site on the 2nd Sept and till the end of Sept a number of our pages - according to GA - were called something different.

So in short, we have a category page under 2 different names and we’d like to merge the data from the two.

Anyone know if this can be done?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Ta.

Not as far as I am aware.

Is it because of different parameters on the URL or because there are two different versions of the same page?

If the latter then I would suggest adding a 301 redirect from one to the other which will solve the problem going forward and also ensure everything is clean and tidy for the big G.

I think you mean that you want to aggregate the data for the two pages names?

Well you can do it by going to the "Top Content" chart then filter (at the bottom) with a search like:

    page-name-1|page-name-2

    basically it aggregates the data.

Now, if you've got different middle bits

    i.e.

    /category/[variable_keyword/]buynow.htm

    /category/[variable_keyword/]info.htm

    you can filter using:

    /category/(.*)info(.*)

Anything else fella, just drop me a IM.

    Hi guys,

I think you've hit the nail on the head Lee. Basically - because of the way our techies set up google analytics on the new site it meant that

Up until the end of Sept Page ABC - was being refered to as X on GA

From the beginning of Oct the exact same page (ABC) is being referred to as Y.

Easy mistake to make I'd suggest but it's a pain as we can't do the analysis we need to!

    Grrrr.

We'll be in touch tomorrow squire.
