btw if you have a catch all email address then you'll still get spam if you just mung the front bit. mung the second bit to stop the spam bots.
I was thinking of giving away FramedShares as competition prizes for my affiliates.
I.e. The affiliate site would run a competition and then send me the e-mail address of the winner of the FramedShare. We would then do the rest etc... etc...
I think that this would be a good idea as a Christmas promotion.
and I was thinking about testing it with a few affiliates to see how well it runs for conversions etc..
Anyone have any experience in doing this kind of thing and the expected results.
Any affiliates want to run this test promotion drop me an email to s-a-m-@-framedshare.co.uk (remove the hyphens)

Although ... Domains cannot begin with a hyphen
;-)
Doh.
I'd also be interested to hear ideas from affiliates, what christmas promotions would you like to see merchants running ?
Discounts, Vouchers, Special Offers, Competitions - usual stuff!
M&S did a pretty good one last year - enter to win a hamper, and get a 5% discount voucher (iirc).. after the comp ended people could still get the discount.
One thing I would like is either "exclusive" affiliate offerings or access to similar offers the bigger portals get.
No point asking us to promo Merchant X when Merchant X is on Yahoo for example with all their Christmas banners, brandings and offers... and in their Network banner groups they're still promoting the Easter bunny!
Jason
why dont you offer a holiday for affiliates who earn the highest during next summer!
that will really get things going
Vouchers are a good idea.
I'm planning to have a gift voucher section where visitors can enter thier own/friends email address and get a discount voucher sent off to then complete with a christmas e-card and message.
Competitions...also good. But comps that we can include in our own sites......not directing to comp on merchant site.
Free gifts when ordering x amount.........promote as in buy a pressie for a friend and get a free one yourself.....
And finally........does anyone know of a merchant who sells xmas undies.....looking for sexy santa bra & knickers to promote.
Take Care,
Carol
