Dont think it will be as successful as you're making out, women buying the dvd will do so because it was recommended in a magazine and will just go straight to amazon

Considering Hannah Waterman fitness dvd doesn't get any searches it sound a much better option.

I cant actually see this being that popular, their are hundreds of fitness DVD's.

If you want to do DVDs check out the top sellers and find a term which has searches for it.

So I had 30 minutes to kill and knocked up a site:

Hannah Waterman Body Blitz Fitness DVD

No website reviews required, it's cheap and nasty but does the job. Let's see how this one pans out.

Cheers for the heads up msg2004

    Do people search for DVDs?

Michael MacIntyre sold 450,000 DVDs last Christmas. See how popular those search terms were.

I think people will go straight to Amazon or Play. You might a percentrage though. 0.0025% of those figures could get you £800.00.

I believe they do, aside from any other influence the price of a dvd can vary a lot from one retailer to another.
As the chart above shows people do specifically search for fitness dvd's around Christmas and new year and there are always a raft of celebrity dvd's on the market. No one knows who's dvd will be the most popular so I would say having a site called, let's say, celebrity-fitness could cover all the bases with a page for each. This would increase the chances of getting the most sales and would be a good earner, year on year.

I could be wrong, it wouldn't take a lot of effort to try though

Its not a trademark is it? To have hannahwaterman.com ?

Also in cases like this would you put dvd in the domain (or whatever the product type was)?

I bet page one will be filled with affiliate sites by the end of the week.
