Hi All
If you were going to get someone to write some site content for you, and you needed to give them some guidelines for writing for the web, what would those guidelines be?
Thanks

Make sure your site W3C compliant: World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)![]()
Yes, good one, although that is perhaps more an item for the technical team rather than the content writers.
Another one would be to highlight important points in bold text. Again, this is related to people scanning web pages, but it also helps a bit with SEO.

The website owners manual - might be very useful. I've seen Paul speak a few times and listen to his podcasts often so this is likey to be excellent
Reminds me a bit of How to Build a Website in 10 Steps | SEO | Affiliate | WordPress | Adsense
OK, keep them coming guys ... here's another one ...
Establish what the trends are in your particular sector, e.g. most popular products, most popular travel destinations, and make lists of them and talk about them.

OK, another one from me ... a sense of sincerity is important so that you can build up trust.

Any contributions welcome guys, otherwise I'm going to be writing this thread myself!!
Another one from me ...
Reference celebrities where possible, it's good for traffic.
