If you reduce the PPC to nil, how do you decide the ranking order of websites ? Back to the original problem of how can you ensure top listings without paying for it i.e., get good at SEO and do well with Google (or whichever SE you choose) - the original problem of the thread !

If you mean make the minimum bid nil that won't stop a competitive market pushing the bid up to "natural" levels. Lots of competitive terms in Adwords/Overture/Espotting are well above the 10p minimum.

The profit share sounds more promising.

Pets of today aren't happy just to stay in and listen to music. The lure of the LP just isn't enough. These kittens wants excitement!

Have to pull you up on that. I did a survey of local pets over the weekend:
83% of Cats thought the idea was purrrrfect
however
74% of Dogs thought the idea was barking mad

I actually though a new Sky channel would be more suitable.
Show animal cartoons for the young ones - Tom & Jerry, Muttley etc
Then a pet minding service so old Tom and his misses could pop down the local cattery for a few in the evening
