A wordpress plugin that can do this?

I use the thesis wp theme
i have a featured post on the top which acts as my site welcome.

what i want to do is display the exerts of 3 more posts below, but i want to be able to choose which posts i show and not just the newest ones

any ideas?

Might be better aimed at the thesis site DIYthemes ? Run a Killer Website with the Thesis Theme for WordPress as you did pay for your copy didn't you?

If you're ok with messing about in the template, you could do this with the "query_posts" function.

1. Make a category called something like 'featured' which you only apply to posts you want to appear in that section.
2. Add posts to the featured category.
3. Use query_posts to call in posts only from that category
