Anyone else having probems with these new breeds of email systems, that require their users to accept emails from recipients, before they get into their email boxes ?

Its a real ******...as it means unless the user remembers to enable emails from my server...that the automatic password email is never received...

yeah, i can see this being a real problem. We already get a few people complaining they haven't got confirmation of their order.

I would never use a spam blocker like that and don't use a pop-up blocker because I think they do more harm than good.

If you send any kind of volume to something like hotmail, then all emails that come from your domain in future end up in the junk mail directory. It's always wise to put a note up on your order confirmation page to alert the user to check junk mail folders and the like as automatic programs can often get it wrong and flag the wrong things as Spam.

Putting a note up on the confirmation page to check the "junk" folder is a good idea. I'll recommend this to our product management folks.

Our help desk receives a lot of extra questions due to people with overkill spam blockers not seeing our email.

    Thanks!
