Smart Quotes / Cleverat / Jaak Media - are they going bust?

HI - I am really concerned - Smart quotes owe me a total of several thousand pounds; the latest invoice is a month late on payment - all I get is excuses.

EG 'someone will get back to you' (they don't) 'only the finance director can sign off payments but he's not in/he's in a meeting/he'll ring tomorrow' etc...

I noticed the Smart Quotes forum has all buit one post deleted...

Are they going bust? Has anyone else been messed about like this?

I am extremely concerned....

I would email them saying you will take it to court.

It normally speeds up our late invoices (Not for smart-quotes but others).

Our last month's payment was not paid either!

I have spoken to the account manager, the FD, finance departmnet and been effectively fobbed off by them all.

I have already threatened legal action and debt recovery but to no avail yet....

Will pass the information on to the head of fianance. I'm sure he can pressure them into paying.

You're not alone, I am also having zero success with Cleverat despite repeated threats of debt recovery.

I would strongly advise any affiliate to cease promotion of any campaigns through Jaak Media, Smart Quotes and Cleverat. I have heard from my BDM at Cleverat, that, and these are his words, not mine "The ship is sinking, please stop promotion of all campaigns immediately".

What sticks in my throat is that each of these companies are still promoting campaigns yet it would seem that they have no intention of paying out! I can't believe that this thread hasn't had more replies, although I expect that will change sometime soon.

I am pausing all campaigns as I type. The company clearly is having issues. I hope Edward or someone can reply asap. I have assigned debt collectors too. If anyone needs any help please pm me, I can chase debts on your behalf. I seriously think that half of the programs are through a different network.

Yes it seems that Smart-Quotes (and perhaps Jaak Media) may be going down the tube, owing lots of money to honest affiliates.

Meanwhile they are still running their campaigns and not letting people know they are in trouble.

This is known as Wrongful Trading and is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE.

I think that affiliates associated with Smart Quotes (or any of the above) should take action NOW to try to secure the money that is owed to them.

It seems that the only route is the legal route.

Some quite well known firms there - I always thought the fee charging unsecured loan sector was booming? (unless they take the fee and then get so many complaints/refund requests they have to close down every 6 months to avoid paying back fees).

I stopped promoting the above a while back but feel very sorry for anyone in this situation as advertising loans isnt cheap!

Real piss take! Riniging them in the morning to try and see when our cash has gone through.

Edward was aparnelty our account manager and has not replied to my emails.

I hope we will get the cash, it is a lot! They should at least be honest and let us know! I think a mod should move this thread to the smart-quotes forum. Help warn others!

Unfortunately the Smart Quotes forum seems to have been edited very heavily recently.

Also my original thread of that forum (which was at the top of the page as it was the first post in the thread, naturally) was suddenly bumped below the scroll by a superfluous ad for a mobile phone app. So someone is manipulating any bad press about Smart Quotes!

Worse, that someone knows how to manipulate this forum from inside affiliates4u, it seems!

Any conspiracy theories welcome at this stage. I smell several crooks.

Just got off the phone with our debt colllectors, they have emailed them and phoned them.

I have always found SQ'S tracking funny. I have notices the old a&l program was through cj.com!
