OK, AffiliateFuture has its own referral program, earning you 5% from any affiliates you refer to them.

Do any of the other networks also operate their own referral programs ?

    Cheers,

I've referred 45 affiliates to Affiliate Future and not made anything. Anyone else earnt nothing from Affiliate Future referrals? I am beginning to wonder if something is wrong. In the same time, I've seen referred commissions from Affiliate Window.

A couple of programs I'm a member of pay 5% on the second tier:

    myHelpHub.com Affiliate Network

I've been with them for years and they pay out like clockwork.

Products include self help, writing, computer stuff (quite a lot of privacy tools)

    And:

    Hypnosis Downloads.com

which has hundreds of hypnosis tracks, lots of which relate to broader areas such as panic attacks, weight loss, self confidence, quitting smoking, etc.

I've referred hundreds of affiliates and earned almost nothing. I personally think there's something seriously seriously wrong and have reported it to AF, but they say everything's fine.

I made complaints about another of the major network's referral programs not tracking for months and months, as I had earned zero in three years of referring affiliates to them. They kept saying it was fine. Eventually, after I provided them with evidence by signing myself up, their own staff finally acknowledged there had indeed been a fatal tracking flaw for a long time. Alas, they are an important network so I can't reveal anything as they'll get upset about the huge damage to their reputation, but I'll tell all when I write my book when I leave the industry.

So between us three we have refered roughly 300 - 500 affiliates to affiliate future and not made a penny!

hmmm. What conclusions can I draw from that, I suppose AF will say everything is working fine.

There is one possibility, that all those referals are automated spam submitions, and very few are actually affiliates.

Paid On Results pays 5% commission to all Affiliates refered too it by other Affiliates. To collect links simply log into your Affiliate Control Panel, click 2nd Tier on the menu and then follow the prompt to get your links.

Also I am pleased to say that both Lee and Nadeem in this thread have actually earned some money from 2nd Tier through Affiliates they are referred to us

Hi Graeme - hope you're keeping well

Yes, I can certainly vouch that POR's tracking works great and the referral program is making us some nice $$$s :-) It's why you can see on our blog that POR is the only network we currently promoting via the banner ads.

(BTW, Graeme, if you can get your designers to build some 125x125 banners - flash would be awesome - when they're free that'd be most appreciated. At the moment we have to use the nearest size which is a 120x100, but doesn't fit quite right.)

The subaffiliate stuff is very, very hit and miss across the networks. I have 1500+ subaffiliates across dozens of networks (mostly US networks), and happy to share my experiences of which networks *do* convert via PM.

Re: AF, as you might expect, 99% of subaffiliates will earn you zip, but one or two crackers will makeup for that.

When I get time I might take a look at switching over some of my banners to POR ...

Very interesting thread. I've not earnt any commission from AF for almost a year and thousands of referrals and not just their own program. Same with some other networks. Does make you wander. I'm testing this at the mo as had to sign up to networks for a new venture we're working on so will report back more in the next few days

    Hi Graeme

If at the moment I want to only refer 2nd tier affiliates, would I join your network as an affiliate or an agency?

You need to join as an Affiliate because 2nd Tier earnings are paid in the same way as normal Affiliate commission. Once you have signed up as an Affiliate please email us (using the Contact Us in the Affiliate Control Panel on the left hand menu) or DM me your Affiliate ID and I can help you get the link you need to refer Affiliates to us.

playing devil's advocate here, and this isn't specific to the affiliate world or any of the aforementioned companies - but would you refer people to a service provider you don't necessarily think has the best service, solely because they offer you what in essence is a kickback (and, which, least we forget, frequently is passed on to the merchant to cover as a programme cost, it's not always paid by the network itself that directly benefits from this).
