    Has anyone come across having issues with the way this company taking payment from your credit card without sending out the usual reminder email.

    Sometimes it is difficult to keep track of domains and hosting, but companies like godaddy, 123, freeparking, bluehost send out reminders a month before renewal so you have time to cancel. Streamline do not, so be aware I have just been hit by a £150 bill and when you complain you speak to some one in the Philippines who then hangs up on you. Quality customer service .. not. Overpriced .. yes!!! Dreamhosting £9.99 with up to 5 domains. streamline £39.99 -- get real!! Streamline were once a great company to host with, that has now gone.

    So be aware. Chargeback procedures will now begin.

    ha streamline, the worst hosting company in the world.

    Stay well away from them!!

    Yes, it's an unusual practice.

    I opened a trial account with them once and before the 3 months were up I contacted them and said:

    I'd like to cancel this account, effective immediately...

    I then forgot about it and was very suprised when I looked at my account and saw they had taken £70+ off me. When I logged into the account, they had replied to my message asking me to confirm I wanted to cancel the account - the above statement obviously didn't make it clear enough.

    I contacted them to complain and after a few emails back and forth, they eventually refunded me the money, but it wasn't an easy fight!

    I've never used them since.

    Yep they're monkeys of the highest order. Support is a joke, billing is random, up time is pathetic. Glad I moved to mediatemple and paid the extra, well worth it!

    And I open up my email this morning and they are sending spam mail shots to me -- glad to see their marketing department works ok -- far better than their billing department.

    i started out with streamline.net and they were terrible! support is shocking, downtime is appalling, load times on my sites were poor etc etc..

    i am now with 34sp and very happy with them!

    I too, had a nightmare with Streamline. I paid for 2 years hosting upfront, but they still tried to take amonthly payment from my card.
    And their support is a joke.

    My favorite is Heart Internet. I have found their support excellent.

    On another note -- I have been using Datafeedr and their customer service is top notch -- put a query to them and within 20 minutes everything was sorted!! Get in there Datafeedr!!
