Hi I'm Lee - the resident nut-case.

I provide SEO solutions to large companies and a range of smaller ones based on referalls.

I have a range of "Get" branded sites and spend time I'm not online, urging united to beat the southern hooligans and shooting Iraqi's on Desert Storm.

My moto is:

On your death bed you're not going to say "I wish I watched more TV!"

Well I'm fairly new! Have been reading forum for a while, but starting to get more involved (this is my 3rd post - wow!). I run a small independent program as part of a wide-ranging marketing position, and having seen the positive results achieved by so many on both sides (affs and merch) am really trying to get our program and presence stepped up (i.e. let me spend more time on the promotion and development of affiliate relationships!!). I think its fairly typical - people hear/read about affiliate marketing and say "we should be doing that" but don't understand the time and resources required to run it properly. And they want instant results...

I also have interest in web development having done a couple of sites myself outside of my day job - so am seriously considering my first foray into the merchant side in my 'spare' time. Reading success stories from so many on this forum is a real help.

James

  Cool

Hi, my name is Alex, and I am the Business Developement Manager for a well establised ISP, www.ukonline.net endeavouring to make as much as possible from the portal.

Started this job just over a year ago, without a single clue what was what (20 years in the wine trade previous), but thanks to the sympathetic understanding from the likes of James and Emett at DGM and Liz from TD ( and others), I am starting to get a hang of things.

It has been quite a surprise that UKO, being part of the Easynet group, has never a) had someone doing this job before, and b)never used the internet to promote our products and services before.

The good news is that we will be starting an affiliate scheme in the near future - as soon as we have implemented the new branding (major job). As soon as this is live I will be looking for feedback.

In the meantime I am finding this forum of great help, so nice to know that one is not alone.

Alex

Hi I have just joined this m/board because I am looking to start a affiliate programe as a merchant but at this moment in time I am unsure how to approach the subject , it seems to be a little intimidating! At the end of the day all everybody wants is to earn them selves a crust without being screwed or screwing anybody else (or am i being a little naive)! Anyway I hope to learn about affiliates and hopefully do some business along the way.
