Quite right, but we do need a path to follow and a method of transportation.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results

Well your going to get different answers for sure, but I have to say having a site with good content normally works well. I would say almost everyone that is doing really well has some sites with really good content in them.

I always remember the “Content is King” quote.. and it’s true, having good content makes easy to get links and have people speak about you in magazines, tell friends and so on. Of course once you have good content a bit of SEO or PPC to push the fact you have it won’t hurt in the slightest.

I agree, Content is King, after all that's why the visitors come there in the first place. Just like this Forum, it has great content provided by it's users and Matt so people come back again and again. But the age old problem is, how do you get people there in the first place for them to tell their friends

If you have selected other from the poll options maybe you could post what they are, just to help define what other tools are available.

Thank you everyone for your votes and support.

I can't echo Supercod enough here... 'A website full of interesting, valuable and relevant content' should be the number 1 tool affiliates should use.

I'll follow your rules then (unless you just want to adopt me as a brother and teach me up) but can I do it without the fags coz I don't smoke and replace the coffee with tea as I don't drink coffee either

    Cheers

I'd have to agree that content is the key to a good website. The way Google ranks you good optimised content is the key to long term success in their index. Yeah backward links help as well but then once you have great content you'll be having no problem with sites linking to you (that is the point of the whole page rank thing after all)

I'm nowhere near to being a super affiliate, but imo it's more what you don't use than do. Those "Mega URL submitters", and link trade systems are just examples of methods you should avoid. Go with the proven stuff, suck up all the info on this forum and don't be afraid to spend money when you need to.
