    Hi there,

I want posts to expire on my wordpress sites when deals expire. However I think it would be in my best interests to keep the posts on the site to benefit the levels of content.
However, how do you think would be the best way to go about this?

    Don't they get automatically archived?

But what happens to the posts when they are archived?

Where do they show up? I only want them to show up when a user performs a search and when they do show up, I want the post to be clearly displayed as expired.

    Any ideas?

To comply with IAB guidelines I thought voucher code posts had to be removed. I delete my posts and then if traffic significant do 301 redirect to appropriate page

As far as I was aware, you only have do show that they are expied or give a clearly displayed expiry date.

If I'm wrong, please let me know. I don't want to get a smacked arse off the IAB.

Well a site like MVC has plenty of expired posts on their site and they haven't got their 'ass smacked' as far as I know.

I usually remove expired codes myself however to comply with the guidelines they just need to be clearly marked as expired and not have click to reveal
