Nothing will change regardless of who goes to the meetings. VC sites will continue to poach sales, content affiliates will continue to moan and networks and large VC sites will need a crowbar to seperate them by this time next year.

You are probably right about that mate
I'm not accepting any opinions from a body of people who try to say they add incremental sales while at the same time using click to reveal and back-room deals to protect themselves from other affiliates who are also claiming to add 'incremental sales' ?

I think Doug probably started off with good intentions but he's just doing the same as the rest of 'em.

I beg to differ....and how do you know if you have never been?

People can whine on this forum all day, but reallity is the people who meet and then discuss and show the facts are the ones who decide where this industry goes. I have been in this industry since the beginning and it is very different now to when I started, but the thing I do know is if you want to change something by whinging about it in the a4u cupboard does nothing, you need to be in front of someones face argueing your point with facts.

Come to a meeting and bring facts is all I ask of you.

Anyway I better get back to cookie stuffing, whilst it is still allowed

We've conducted research (which we plan to release) that shows what a massive difference voucher codes sites can have on sales, and by sales I don't just mean poaching sales, I mean genuinely having an effect on where the customer buys from.

As Doug said earlier about his site, a hell of a lot of our sales come from users who come to our site before they make a decision to purchase.

I agree that some sites don't always do things right, But there is a place for hard working VC sites that try and maintain quality and provide a real service to both the consumer and merchants.
