One of my websites has a double opt-in newsletter with simple opt-out links at the bottom of each weekly edition.
One person for some reason reported it to spam cop who forwarded it to our web hosts who in turn turned off my server (at 8am) and waited for me to call them.
The newsletter went out at 11pm the night before so as you can possible imagine the next day is a time that lots of people are going to be clicking through.
How would you respond to that, I don't know what I can do, and because of this issue that bring me to my next question, does any know of any BETTER hosts?

For hosting, try http://clook.net/ amazingly good customer service, fast reliable servers and plenty of notice if they are going to do anything to your account.

I use one of their reseller packagers purely to host multiple domains and they've never yet failed to help a beginner out.

They also have exceptional forums for their users. They have machines in the UK and the USA and will set up tailored packages if that's what you need - their machines use CPanel and WHM.

    Cheers

    Chris

I could say a similar thing for Hostroute

    cheap stuff: ecalpemos.com
    normal-reseller: hostroute.co.uk/com
    dedicated: tigerserver.co.uk

Servers in UK, USA, and Canada.

I've not had a similar thing happen, so i cant say for certain, but i'm 99% sure these guys would at least give you the curtesy of talking to you before making a decision.

I'm not easy to deal with at times, the fact i'm still using their brands 2 years on has to count for something (i've used/use all brands).

No forum though. Just a help desk.

If it's a small site, i also like the services at dsvr.co.uk. We have a 300 type virtual server. We've just renewed into the second year. Can't get better for mini/small-site stuff. Originally recommended to me by Jeff.

Not saying either are the best, just the best of what we've tried.
