    Hi,

I just wondered if online Xmas shopping has now peaked.

I know it's a bit early to tell, but one of my sites had a massive number of visitors on Monday (9th Dec). Yesterday (10th Dec) the numbers had fell a fair bit.

I remember Amazon saying last year their best day of sales was around the 8th Dec.

    What does everyone think?

What was your sites best commission day in previous years?

Last year we saw peaks on the 10th and 17th. I think this year it will be the 9th and 16th. But I expect sales will continue to grow between these dates.

    Cheers

I think I should have been quiet about Xmas shopping peaking, as it definitely has not peaked yet, yesterday was good and today is going well so far!

I think on average it probably has peaked but there is still a weeks worth of just below peak sales to come.

my cj links are severely troughed - so I assume thats the end for them - but who knows. It might all be a ghastly stats problem.

Last 10 days have been pretty good, last 2 days I,ve seen a decline.

Perhaps surfers are undecided now coming up to the 14th, will it be in stock, will it come before Crimbo etc or should I venture out to make sure of getting it.

I've been called in on my day off to help keep things running smoothly. Still nice and busy here I am happy to say. We are actually expecting sales to continue to increase next week.

Most (if not all) of internet Christmas shopping will finish TOMORROW!

I expect my amazon stats to show no more sales before the new year after wednesday.

Well tomorrow is the 16 - last order date for amazon ( most of my sales are through amazon )

I assume (but do not know) that many other places have the same last order date to get goods to custmers before Christmas.

Sales from the 16 (should) show in amazon associates reports on wednesday!

But that's only on the free delivery - for normal 1st class the last order date is Dec 20th.

You will probably see a slowdown, but I wouldn't expect a total end to Amazon sales until Saturday

Understand now. Sorry... bit slow today.

I think that quite a few merchants are leaving "last-orders" a bit later this year. We are taking orders up until 10pm Sunday for Xmas delivery at the moment. We may be releasing a bit more news about something else along these lines this week as well.
