Each merchant is different and it is best to check with their rules, which can be found on the network
I'm hoping someone here can help with what is probably a very obvious question...
Is it always OK with merchants (including Amazon) if affiliates use ppc to drive traffic to their own niche sites?
I have a couple of niche sites using ECU price comparison units next to product reviews. They make a small amount of sales just from organic traffic and I wanted to have a go at increasing the traffic through ppc.
I've signed up to so many different merchants that the idea of wading through each one's terms and conditions is a bit daunting.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,

Thanks - I'm assuming that means some merchants won't allow you to use ppc to bring traffic to your site if it has their affiliate links on it?
As I say, you will have to read their terms. I don't do ppc, but I believe the majority do not allow direct linking, but many do not allow specific words, ie trade names, brand names or even misspelt
Certainly with AWin you get their terms when signing up with the merchant. but they will be on the merchant's page anyway
