do mine count as affiliate links ?
What are everyone's thoughts about the forum rule on no posting of affiliate links - a lot of people seem to have a website or 2 on the sigs of every post
Personally i have no problem with this - just happened that one I clicked on happened to have a more MLM feel than affiliate orientated content?

Probably!
They seem reasonable to have there though as they are promoting your scheme and its great to have active merchants on the forum.
Just wondered where the dividing line should be.

I think its quite an interesting topic. I go for what the forum wants - as in the moderators etc.
I think that if a forum runs as a business we have to respect that by posting affiliate linkl, we are stealing business. However most forums are not meant as a business, and there is quite often no harm if you are not just doing a sales pitch.
I did a post when I first got back - after my year off web building - and had a few links etc in it - but was told the postition and would not do it again.![]()
I think signatures with sites etc seem perfectly acceptible here - tho have to admit to banning them on one of my forums, due to people taking away my own bread an butter.
