Would you promote a merchant who spams affiliates?

So would you promote a merchant if the company they hire to manage their affiliate program takes a list of affiliates email address from one network and uses it to spam you with an advert to join another merchant on another network?

Dunno.

I think this sort of ties in with me having an email off the manager of an program trying to poach me - I think its a bit naughty - cos he's got my contact details from the network *not* from my website - and if he's going about it like that to get people onto his program - by in effect stiffing the network, whats to say he won't later decide he wants to do the dirty on affiliates?

Affiliate marketing relies so much on trust and if we can see relationships breaking down to start before we get involved then we have to wonder why.
