I'd be interested in what stats other folk here monitor to manage their sites. From reading the posts, some seem quite methodical about this; I've read a few things from 999gi about this kind of analysis for example.
I track the following on a daily basis (excel linked into sql databases):
* total visits
* total click-throughs
* traffic by site
* click-throughs by site
* click-through ratio by site
* total numbers by search engine (google, yahoo etc)
In addition, I track individual links to see which perform best and also try to track earnings-per-click on a link basis. That depends to some extent on the tracking available at the merchant or network and whether they offer detailed stats.
I then set various targets for myself based on
* traffic
* click through ratio
* earnings per click
Visibility on a site-by-site basis has helped me get real insights into different sources and types of traffic (e.g. through the Google updates) that would otherwise be lost in the melee.
