Hi Ya
Google uses geo targetting to place the adwords next to the SERPs. So you will not see what a USA searcher would see, it will only display UK ads or American Advertisers ads who choose in their campaigns setting to show in the UK.
My apologies for yet another casino thread but I have a dilemma.
I have been checking google.com and I have noticed that it's mostly .co.uk domains bidding on adwords for casino terms.
Given the size of the US in comparison to the UK wouldn't you expect this to be the other way around, especially on Google.com?
This poses a few issues for me.
Do I optimise adwords for US or Uk market for my .com domain?
Do I SEO for US or Uk market for my .com domain?
Thoughts welcomed!

This may seem like a silly question but how does google know if you are in UK or USA if you are accessing google.com?
If this is the case, does that mean that the actual search results and not just the ads are altered because of your location?

Also don't forget that in America it is against the law to gamble in some states. Also, I think US credit cards don't allow people to use them for gambling. So if casinos that have Neteller are the best to promote (the player deposits to Neteller then from Neteller to the casino).
Didn't really answer your question sorry. Oh, and think this thread would have been better placed in the PPC search engines section.
Cheers

If you use an anoymous proxy in america eg:
http://www.the-cloak.com/Cloaked/+cf...q=casino&meta=
you can see what the usa see's
just go here http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...q=casino&meta=
to see the ads for the uk
It doesn't seem to target the 'natural' listing of google, just the paid ads.

That clears that up then.
