Magazine Adverts about Spyware, your help needed.

As we need to take the issue of spyware to the merchants, a number of us have spoken about running adverts in NMA, Revolution and other trade mags to let merchants know that the affiliates in the UK wish them to work with Spyware Free Networks.

We plan to list each network and also have some catchy text like “Major UK networks not protecting your brand online” and so on.. We will list the networks that are spyware free asking merchants to work with them.

As you can imagine this will cost some money and it’s hardly fair to ask a couple of the more vocal affiliates on here to pay for the adverts, so will you donate something towards these adverts, just put your name below, don’t have to say amounts as any amount is welcome.

Note: This is a group effort as we have to get the message out loud and clear what is going on.

I am happy to put funds up for this; we need to the message out to merchants and what better way than in the trade press magazines they all read.

Tell you what I hate to be one of the listed networks that are working against affiliates, they will have no credibility left as being a trusted 3rd party if they don't act soon.

Revolution is runnning a section of Aff marketing in June - we have been asked to write some stuff for it along fairly structured questions as have TD and CJ - no real opportunity for us to belt on about the issue but if your looking for a good slot for your plans then the June issue would be it - contact me for the ad manager and I can get you a discount - also have the guy who is writing the peice if anyone wants to ive him some ideas from an affiliate point of veiw

How would donations be made? Paypal appears to be an obvious choice. I think it would also be a good idea to ask the ethical networks to make contributions as they also stand to benefit from such advertising.

I am sure a few of us all chipping in can easily afford that. Best money we ever spend and no one been asked to donate for the running of the forum in well over a year so, look on it as putting up a little cash to show the forum members can be effective as a group.
