    Hi
    Just another idea!

I have trolled through many other forums - about 40:1 hrs in favour of this one.

But one thing I found very interesting / helpful on one site was an annual awards poll.

How about a new forum / section for an awards nomination - I have many idea's that I would like to see in this section but some members seem to think my "middle of the night" postings are p**sed induced so I will bite my tongue for the moment.

( Cant resist this though - thought justnozy was a bad nickname but our latest member beat this ) .

I think an official or unofficial poll section could help both vet's & newbies in their affiliate quest for stardom.

What would you like to see?

    Best Aff Network - Worst
    Best Aff Programme - Worst
Most Helpful Member - etc etc
    etc etc etc
    Most annoying MOTN posting

    Oh these new boys

There were several polls back in January - (although I think TDs position in the polls will have changed dramatically since then....)

No doubt there will be more polls in the future - probably around the turn of the year.

If us newbie's didn't show are ar*es every now & then how would you old wrinklies get your laughs ?

I know there are polls I was thinking along the lines of a regular / something to aim for / convented / set of awards.

Being a newbie this creates somewhat of a short cut, it would also give vet's targets, or even an idea how to slant old ideas. It could also give aff. managers or merchants something to aim for. Could , in a friendly way increase the quality of the programmes. And a " most helpful member" category would at very least recognise the hardwork some members put into this forum.

I maybe a "new boy" here but I cut my teeth out there a long time ago

    That is so true.

The subject of Awards, this was discussed on the old Affiliates4u forum many moons ago however I cant find the thread.

To move the subject on perhaps an award in the form of a logo could be given to those merchants / networks who support the stance against spyware and other evil thieving practices.....

Something I will be doing soon(ish) - anyone a bit of a design guru and fancy designing a logo for use as a reward? not too big or garish, something professhional looking a bit like the hitwise award buttons maybe?

Re awards - an excellent Idea, something that could well be implemented.. Ideally I'd like to employ someone on a full or part time basis to look after this forum, and maybe that could be part of their job description along with organising an official bi-annual / annual awards / get2gether... but that would probably require some kind of annual member donation - however as always thats just one of many ideas.

    Cheers,
    Matt.

I'd be willing to try designing a logo if you can give some ideas on what it needs to say, size, etc.

I did this one for the awards last time that subject came up, but I can try something quite simple for the anti spyware mark.

Good suggestion. It has been raised before but it's nice to bring it to the fore again.

It would be nice to discuss various categories.
