Always avoid services offered on the Warriroforum

Just a breif warning to help newbies and veterans finding out the hard way in 2012

That is, avoiding linkbuilding services offered on the Warriorforum.

Now before a friend kept talking about it, I to kept well clear. The trouble is, I got sucked in and tried a few of the services offered over a series of months.

I was a little suspicious though so never used them on my main income site but did on another site.

Come October 14th, the site I used for the warriorservices dropped so low in the SERPS I was down £800 a month.

On investigation using Majestic SEO I went through all the links from the last 3 months

Every single one that had been created via services on the Warriorforum (some were so obvious im not surprised Google saw them) was deindexed

So....boom...site gone...£800 down

If you are going to outsource your link building, always use a reputable company. I always have for my main site and has survived without a glitch, every single Google Update

I've never used services in the WarriorForum - but I have trusted individuals around the internet, freelancer sites and forums to do linkbuilding. Essentially, that's what the WarrioForum section you refer to is....individuals offering services, and trying to make a profit...

I would argue that it's not that forum per say that's the issue - but the type of link-building you probably paid for. Could you give some specifics as to what you paid them money for?

If it was spammy blog comments, and forum profile links - then don't be surprised if those links were deinxed, and your site was dropped for example!

I'm sure there are reputable SEO companies around, but they are hard to find - I would say it's better to find out what works yourself and hire people to do just that. Some SEO companies are just in it for a quick buck themselves!!

Spammy links straight to a money site? should have built a tier and used that. My problem with these characters is that you are giving them your URL to a money making niche, and they have the tools and time to take you on.

October 14th was date of large Panda update; particularly effected UK sites. How large is the site? What proportion of internal pages were you gaining links into? Its debated as to the extent of effect of link profiles on Panda its designed to counter poor on page / quality content vs thin content ratios; and if poor quality links were that easy to devalue a site people would nuke competitors daily.

I agree with Kammy. You can't say "avoid WarriorForum". I've used services from there, everything from web design and content writing through to link building and never had any problems. There is the odd scammer and people selling rubbish on there, and if YOU dont know what you are, you may buy something which isnt that great.

Saying not to use WarriorForum though is like saying dont buy anything from Amazon/eBay because you had a bad dealing with one seller.

Personally I think this can happen to you even using reputed SEO Company. There are lot of good services offered in WF and also some crap. And as a new IM I understood link building is a continuous process. You just cann’t sit down and sleep after building 5000 backlinks. You have to do it regularly to maintain your SERP.

And also I think when choosing a service or SEO company you have to very very careful. They will do all kinds of black hat trick to get you in the top SERP. And later you will be penalized by Google. And this is why I am very scared to use any SEO company. I think it is always better to do your own work. It will be slow and painful but at least you can have good sleep.
