Hi All,

Firstly, Merry Christmas!

Secondly, I have now finalised all the details for the first 'Affiliate Getaway' to Barbados in 2012. This is a chance to get away from your computer and jet off to Barbados for 10 nights, joined by like minded affiliates it's a chance to network with new and old friends and get your ideas flowing aided by sun, sea and plenty of beer. I'm arranging this as a favour to so many who have said they would like to go, or would love to go back.

Is there any structure to the trip in terms of scheduled business-stuff or is it more of a hang-out?

Also, is there a particular merchant/network behind this or is it completely independent?

Dave, it's more a hang-out than formal business stuff ... but the beauty is that hanging out with dozens of other affiliate marketing aficionados in one place means there's lots of knowledge sharing.

There's no particular network or merchant sponsoring it this time round I believe (though I'm sure they'd be welcomed to help subsidise the trip ). It's been organised by super Hannah of Bright Digital Minds.

Hi everyone, hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

To answer a few of your questions...

- At the moment it's an informal get together, although I'm told businesses may be able to absorb the cost if it were a 'networking event' or 'conference' - so if people would like me to put on a couple of 'talks' - let me know

- It's just me organising it at the moment as I'm one of the lucky ones to have been before and so many have asked for it to be brought back. I'm not making any money off this, it's just a friendly gesture at the moment. Although if I can get the full 30 places to go - I do get some perks!

- Doug - not sure yet, I haven't heard of anyone doing that so far.

- In terms of merchants getting on board - I have sent round details to all the major networks and agencies to give them details of the trip, so should they or one of their merchants wish to sponsor a place - they can.
