Only affects UK and some EU franchises as far as I know.

Lingerie retailers La Senza to go into administration putting 2,600 jobs on the line | Mail Online

High street lingerie chain La Senza plans to enter administration, the firm announced tonight.

Administrators could be appointed within the next 10 days, in accordance with the Insolvency Act, a spokeswoman said.

So when are affiliates to be formally informed rather than find out via the media?

BBC News - Former La Senza owner Theo Paphitis 'saddened'

They were doing quite well, I guess the high street crisis caught up with them

That's a little unfair. In the vast majority of cases, we find out via the media as well, exactly the same way and at the same time as everyone else. The very nature of these things mean the news is kept from suppliers and the public until the last possible moment.

It's not the network's fault Adam. I was sarcastically referring to the merchant for failing to advise their marketing channels (and apparently their own staff according to the media) about the plight of the company. Not that surprising considering the warnings issued the previous week and it won't affect most of their overseas operations because they are franchised to other companies.

Yep Hawkins Bazaar was having a closing down sale pre Christmas.

Getting pretty dismal on the highstreet at the mo - most town centre shops are being filled by pound shops. Well actually there's a new group emerging, the 99p shops, so I guess we're going to see Pound Land in administration soon too .

Any affiliate program for the 99p shop? Have they even got a site?
