Thread: Seasonal Programs not tracking - calculating EPC

    Take a program such as Christmas trees.

    You'd sell lots of them in December but very few in January.

    (It's not a program selling Christmas trees btw)

    So if tracking was down for the 2 months - during the 'busy' time for that merchant - would you expect to be paid an estimated EPC based on the 'quiet' time?


    That's just what one merchant is doing at the moment.

    That's just what one merchant is doing at the moment.
    It depends on whether the busy period alters the EPC or not. If it's just a case of more clicks/more sales then they are right, however if their seasonal product causes a variation in the EPC, they should reflect that.

    The network should be apply to supply these figures for the same period last year for comparison.

    Oh, by the way Mogga - it works the other way too.

    We found that during the busy period (Nov/Dec) we got a bunch of what we called 'Happy Clickers' when advertising on ppc sites like Kelkoo. This was due more people looking for products with a view to buying rather than actually making a purchase at that point. It resulted in more sales but many more clicks.
