"Old-fashioned objectification of women rules the roost in tech. It cheapens the industry and demeans women – and men."
I read an article in the Guardian regarding 'booth babes at CES' :
Why do we still get booth babes at CES? | Kate Bevan | Comment is free | guardian.co.uk
So what do you think? If you're at an affiliate / internet conference or exhibition and a company there is promoting themselves using "booth babes" what do you think? Is it harmless fun or degrading to women (and men)??
One telling quote from the article:
one man in the tech industry commented: "An attractive girl handing me a leaflet or asking me to enter a draw is probably going to get a better reaction than a nerdy geek in a suit."
