I used it for a bit and the system is decent and does what it says on the tin. But I found it still needed more work than I was prepared to put in!
Don't get me wrong, it's much easier than trying to do it yourself (I've tried - I've got some blog posts on my site regarding the "not so easy content unit" WP plugin that I built!). But you still have to design the units, make sure you get the right products displayed, and the bit that annoys me - sign up to all the networks / in house programs.
I found I made most money from Amazon so I ended up building my own Amazon content unit plugin that I now use everywhere. I just add a keyword to the end of a post and it goes and lists out some up to date products - simples! To sweep up other opportunities I use Skimlinks - but like ECU you have to give up some of your commission. The win with Skimlinks is that you really have to do nothing except collect the money.
But each to their own, perhaps it depends on the size and scope of your projects and how much time you have to manage them.
The best thing to do would be to trial the free ECU version, sign up and give them a go.
