    Hi,

    I'm looking for (Free if possible ) an Affiliate store / DataFeed which can include categories, product description etc.. very simular to what Datafeedr offer. I don't think that content units would really suit what I need?, as am aware of ECU but don't think that would suit.

    A little info::
    Basically I had a paid account with Datafeedr quite a while back, cancelled my account and continued to use the plug-in aware that I would no longer receive updates on products etc, which was fine for a while. Although something happened yesterday which caused this plug-in to fail and completely remove itself from my WP site, this brought my whole site down for half a day until my webhost managed to recover most of it! I am not going into the settings for this plug-in now incase this happens again....and to top this off it seems my Affiliate ID is no longer in the product links!! All I can assume is non-paying Datafeedr members can't continue to use there old feeds anymore?

    Any ideas/help appreciated cheers,
    Steve

    I know it isn't free but Price Tapestry has excellent functionality but it depends on your php skill level as it requires customisation. The support forums are superb and the email support from David is second to none. You can run anything from a one merchant storefront site to a full price comparison - and it also has an excellent wordpress plugin available now.

    As good as it is though, you need to understand a bit of php and html or you'll be lost. As I said it isn't free but, for the price, it is incredibly powerful and customisable.

    Will take a look through these thanks guys. I am not technical with PHP etc unfortunately, so this will limit my options.

    If you go for price tapestry you get a php expert included. He'll make sure it works for, you can count on that.

    Really? Hows that? I really need to review my options..but need a solution quick before my site decides to fall off the internet world again!

    The main issue I have as I'm looking through options is I could really do with a 'Categories' type setup so visitors can easily filter what they are looking for. I even don't mind if there is a system which involves me giving away a small amount of commision but can't fit a 'pay monthly' solution into this site at the moment and not particularly relying on store part of site..it's just an added bonus as gives access to some other products.

    The Datafeedr plug-in enabled me to fit into my Wordpress setup and came with customisable widgets for random products etc.

    A lot of price tapestry installations are very customised. You start off with a basic set-up and then modify it to your needs - and if you don't know how to do that then a message to Dave is all that's required. Look for yourself: Price Tapestry | Affiliate Datafeed Price Comparison Script | Price Tapestry

    I've used PT quite a bit despite not knowing anything about php so don't let that aspect of it put you off.

    Hi Steve,

    Take a look at SellFire - Data Feed Store Builder. We are just getting off the ground, but we already offer more search and customization options than popshops. We are adding new merchants all the time as well. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you.

    Thanks,
    Jason
