Good Stats Provider

I see lots of posts on this forum about visits from Google Bot and others but I am unable to see this information from my current stats software. Could someone recommend a good, free or very cheap package that will provide this sort of data and more so that I can track my sites performance?

One of the best free ones I have seen is http://www.leveltendesign.com/L10Apps/HC/ .

Only thing i have seen wrong with it is that they don't do a paid version for those of us who don't want the little button on the site.

I like awstats it has the best 'robots / spiders report' that I have seen http://www.awstats.org/

It's worth noting a difference between the solutions mentioned for anyone not familiar with stats programs.

AWstats is a log analyser, so it requires that you have access to the raw logs on your server. The L10 uses mySQL, so effectively creates it's own logs. Not familiar with it, but hitslink looks like a hosting service, which works similar the the database solution but sits on someone elses server.

Nothing wrong with any of those approaches, depends on what you are after.
