Had a look and must say I understood it all straight away - looks very promising if you can get enough travel merchants signed up to the service.
We have set up a new system for travel websites to use to power their online bookings & content management etc.
Key things of interest to affiliates:
* Tracks affiliate sales automatically
* Provides an XML datafeed with lots of information for affiliates to use on individual tours and travel products
* Has a 'leakage' minimisation system
The leakage minimisation system works on the understanding that much travel research is undertaken, for example, from the office during lunch hours - and then the subsequent purchase is made from a home computer (losing the cookie based tracking). Also, sometimes, with tricky travel sales the customer service rep can enter the booking (following a phone call or email discussion) - in these situations the affiliate tracking is lost.
I believe we have solved all these problems
(I am not talking about component travel sales such as hotels, flights etc - which tend to sell OK on first visit - so cookie or multi-computer leakage is not such an issue)
We have written a guide to our new system specifically for affiliates of our clients

Anyone care to take a peek and tell me whether this makes sense or not?
cheers
alex

seems interesting... worth posting back on the forum when you've got merchants in.
